Drivers Club Members At New Jersey Motorsports Park To Test Drive Race Cars

Millville, N.J. (June 23, 2009) - In addition to being able to drive their own high-performance sports cars at speed on two world-class race tracks, Drivers Club members at New Jersey Motorsports Park have begun to see some additional unique benefits.

On Monday, June 29, representatives from Lexus will bring five vehicles to the South Jersey facility for members to test drive around the 1.9-mile Lightning Raceway. Lexus will bring two ISF models, two ISC models, and one Lexus GS, to showcase the high performance aspect of the luxury brand.

Each of the vehicles has been given additional upgrades by the manufacturer’s performance division. Members will be given the chance to test the Lexus vehicles alongside a New Jersey Motorsports Park driving instructor.

The Drivers Club at New Jersey Motorsports Park and Radical Sportscars will have a host of two-seater sports racers from the British constructor at select Drivers Club days, giving club members yet another opportunity to sample additional high performance vehicles.

The open-cockpit Radicals made their Drivers Club debut on June 18, and will return for Member Days on June 29, and July 4 and 7.

“Bringing in these constructors is another way to enhance our Member Day experience,” said Kevin Wittman, General Manager of New Jersey Motorsports Park. “All of our Drivers Club members share our motorsports passion, and we’ll continue to look for opportunities like these to introduce our members to new driving experiences.”

The Drivers Club at New Jersey Motorsports Park allows members to drive their cars on both the 2.25-mile Thunderbolt Raceway and the 1.9-mile Lightning Raceway at the Millville, N.J. facility. Members have over 30 days each season to hone their driving skills with instruction from top-level driving coaches.

In addition to the lapping program, the Drivers Club also hosts a time trials program in 2009. Cars compete in various classes based on potential performance, with the overall Club Champion crowned at season’s end.
